My name is Andrew Price, and this is my blog about the Australian National Basketball League.
There’s no denying that lobpasstoabercrombie.com has a distinct bias toward my home team, the New Zealand Breakers.
The aim is to provide in-depth but off-beat analysis of the team and the league; to provide a running commentary that offers insight not necessarily covered elsewhere. That’s why a lot of the posts are about statistics, but you’ll also find team news, feature pieces from guest writers and other updates.
In the daytime I make maps for a living, and then I come home and make big spreadsheets from basketball data.
It’s a somewhat nerdy approach to an under-reported competition, but that’s okay because it’s also officially sanctioned by its namesake – Tom Abercrombie from the NZ Breakers.
Just checked out your site.
Very good indeed.

Got a bit of trivia on it that you might like.

Great site Andrew. I just got onto the site today for the first time and found myself reading everything there. You are a man after my basketball heart as I’ve always thought stats (the real ones, not the newspaper ones) tell a much more revealing story than the vast majority of people realize.
Congratulations on one of the best bball sites I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work. You have a new devotee.
Amazing website, please never stop
